Loren Alonzo

Loren Alonzo was born and raised in San Jose, CA . She began piano lessons at the age of five and all throughout her high school years was a voluntary piano accompanist and alto vocalist at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a member of San Jose State University Womens Chorus.After Loren graduated from High School, she received a music scholarship award at Cal-State East Bay University where she studied piano with Ellen Wasserman in the years 2004 and 2005. Loren became a music major with an emphasis in piano performance at San Jose State University. She has also studied with Namik Sultanov, a well-known Russian pianist with a specialty in Sergei Rachmaninoff. Loren graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance at San Jose State University under a well-known pianist, Dr. Gwendolyn Mok, a specialist in Maurice Ravel who was a famous French impressionistic composer in the early 1900s. Loren always had a passion for music since she was a child and has received various piano awards and certificates throughout the years. She has been teaching piano since the age of eighteen and enjoys working with kids and young adults.
